Artist Statement/Bio

Cindy’s journey to become an artist came from not a single epiphanic moment but rather emerged from her intrinsic connection to beauty and the world of color and movement.  Despite lacking formal artistic training, she forged her own path, driven by a self-taught approach that reflects her independent spirit and dedication to the craft.   Cindy has been a psychotherapist, spiritual healer, and teacher for over 40 years, and art allowed her to have balance, harmony and creativity.  Her work is deeply inspired by the fluid movements of colors, the serenity and joy of nature and the elemental beauty that surrounds us. Cindy’s creative process is as organic as the subjects she chooses.  Preferring spontaneity over meticulous planning, she paints quickly, allowing her instincts to guide her.  This process, going with the flow imbues her paintings with a unique vibrancy and dynamism.

Self-taught and resourceful, Cindy honed her techniques by watching online tutorials and observing other painters.  This helped her develop her style of bold abstraction and evocative use of color.  Her art stands out for its raw emotional resonance and interplay of light and shadow, which invites viewers into their own introspective journeys. Balancing her role as a spiritual healer with her artistic pursuits, Cindy finds that both enrich her creativity and core values.  She firmly believes in making art accessible and affordable to all.  She views it as enhancing well-being and personal upliftment.  She wants to continue creating pieces that evoke beauty, balance, joy and harmony embedding that into the daily lives and hearts of those who encounter it.
