ART RESOURCES GALLERY showcases the largest and most unique collection of original artwork available in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN. We have brought together a varied group of artists that we are proud to represent. Some of the artwork you may select from includes blown glass, oil and acrylic paintings, textiles, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, mosaics, and much more. Our artwork is original, and we are proud to offer over fifty years of custom picture framing experience.

With two conveniently located spaces (IMS and Edina), we can pull from a wide variety of pieces to help find the perfect artwork for your home or project. From our walls to yours, our galleries are a great place to visit for creative inspiration!

ART RESOURCES GALLERY has been around for a long time, so you can imagine we have a lot to share when it comes to custom framing. Our talented and experienced team works within your vision and budget to select framing that best reflects your personal and/or professional style.

2. ART ON APPROVAL

Did you find something you like but you’re not sure how it will look in your space? We have the solution. All of our artwork can go out on approval which allows you to see pieces in your space before committing. Ask our gallerist about the approval process during your next visit.

3. Commissions

A “Garden Party” celebration in Edina

Thurs, May 7th, 4 - 7 pm

See paintings of lush florals, shimmery landscapes, and summery abstracts! Featured artists: Kairong Liu,  Dakota Finn, Cay Lynch, Edie Abnet,  Patricia Canney, Noah Desmond, and introducing Lockie Chapman!

In addition to the curated artworks that will be on view, we are hosting a drawing for a chance to win our "Garden Party" give-away.   This large wonderful mid-century modern vase by Lenore Lampi is valued at $200 and is a rare opportunity to win an original piece of artwork by one of our notable, local artists.  We hope you can join us!

DESIGN DAY is coming to IMS!

May 14th, 9 am - 5 pm

Showrooms across International Market Square are teaming up for a vibrant, high‑energy day built just for the regional design community. Think fresh resources, inspiring programming, and a perfect excuse to spend a full day exploring the building. You’ll find showroom presentations, open houses, and CEUs that deliver value—plus a lively designer panel digging into what’s happening in the trade right now. 

Start the day with Art Resources Gallery! We will be serving coffee and other treats to get you going in addition to an a fun opportunity to make an original piece of artwork!!

9:30 – 10:30 a.m. A Make-n-Take “Happy Hour” with local artist Jodi Reeb: Encaustic Monotype Printmaking Join us at ARG to create your very own original print and take it home! An encaustic monotype print is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork created by applying molten beeswax paint onto a heated palette—and transferring it to rice paper by hand-burnishing. The technique produces beautiful impressions, combining painterly effects with printmaking. The paint cools quickly with textural and transparent effects. This is an open-house style creative opportunity where you will make a print in under 5 minutes.
