Zaza Khabuliani was born in the tiny village of Ozurgeti, just inside the border of the Republic of Georgia. As a young man he and his brother Emzar, left their home to pursue their dreams of becoming professional artists. On a journey fueled by Slavic enthusiasm and sanguinity, the brothers made their way to the big city lights and the famous art academy of Tbilisi.
In Tbilisi, Zaza had the incredible opportunity to not only study, but thanks to his tremendous talent, he was able to teach several courses as well. After earning his Master’s Degree from Tbilisi, Zaza set his sights on Moscow, where he exhibited at the renowned Park Kultri Gallery as well as many other local galleries. His work generated compliments from the public and critics alike, consequently Zaza decided to try his luck in other parts of the world.
The very same sensitivity that radiates from their paintings made the brothers choose Cyprus, and wisely so, as the starting point on their path to conquer the hearts of art lovers worldwide. Since then, Zaza also spent a number of years studying in New York.
He continues to produce exceptional works of art by exploring new subject matter while maintaining his unique style.
