After high school, Hibberd attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. There, he mastered many different mediums of art. It was not until after his graduation form Arizona State University in 1994 that he put his full attention into his paintings.
During his first 2 years of college, Hibberd was an understudy and an assistant for nationally known artist John Douglas. It was the hands on experience during this time period he realized painting is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
As a student, Randy was fascinated by the power of colors, and their ability to convey emotion --even without specific imagery. As his paintings evolved, he began to experiment by adding more deliberate texture and depth.
Painting in his own studio since the year 2000, Hibberd has begun to reach his own stardom as an artist. His works can be found in many galleries across the United States and also in many residential and corporate settings.
