My artwork is an expression of color and pattern created through the process of weaving. I studied weaving in Sweden and often draw on this influence when designing but look to interject my own twist of color and pattern. My designs also reflect other influences such as the Prairie Style, American Southwest, and contemporary designs to coordinate with any interior style. These wall hangings and rugs are functional art pieces made to be used and admired everyday. They are reversible, washable, and durable so you can enjoy them for generations to come.
Creativity is a characteristic that I express through my hands. Fiber
is wonderful to the touch and given freely by natures¹ plants and animals. My world is seen through color, a blue sky against a light yellow wheat field contrasted by a dark green corn field, the multitudes of color in an embroidered ethnic costume, or the gradations of greens on a mountainside filled with birch, pine and maple bursting open in springtime or blazing to their finale in the fall. All of my creations begin with color and are expressed through the timeless craft of weaving.
