Bonny Hawley weaves from the fabrics of ancient worlds and threads of her imagination to create her old world wall tapestries. The work strives of celebrate life and stimulate the viewers imagination. Bonny was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest and grew up reading lots of books about far away places and strange lands. She graduated from college with her BFA in Art and has been a professional working artist for the last 25 years.

She feels her greatest accomplishment is raising her two sons as a single Mother and making a living as an artist. Bonny loves to travel and finds inspiration and ideas for her work through her many travels to Italy and Greece. To Bonny, "Life and Art are a continual exciting growing creative process open to experimentation and intellectual growth." The tapestries consist of mixed media acrylic collage and involve the use of monoprinting, stenciling and handmade and handpainted papers. The pieces can be built to any size configuration, and hang like an old world tapestry complete with rods and hardware. The work rolls for easy shipping. The tapestries are shown in private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.
