Blair Bender

My paintings are influenced by the many hours I’ve spent in the car on countless trips to visit family. They are created from my memory, and become glimpses of places that are focused on for a moment and then turn into a never-ending, moving landscape. The details are lost as light dances through the glass of a windshield and bounces itself around. The glossy finish of my paintings help to enhance that memory that is never quite perfect.
